UNSW is Sydney’s second oldest university. It has roughly 60,000 students from over 130 countries and 6,000 staff fostering teaching and research across all academic disciplines. UNSW is situated on the eastern Sydney coastal area; the traditional custodians of these lands are known as the Bidjigal and Gadigal peoples of the Eora nation. We acknowledge the traditional owners and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
The Centre for Big Data Research in Health Australia’s first research centre dedicated to health research using big data. We aim to maximise the productive use of all possible sources of health big data in order to enhance the health and well-being of Australians and the global community. We operate as a hub for collaborative interdisciplinary research, methodological development and training.
In this Australian-EU collaboration we will work to transform real-world data into real-world evidence. We will use population-based linked data from Australia and cutting-edge methods to generate new knowledge of how medicines for ADHD and co-occurring cardiometabolic conditions are used in practice, and the resultant benefits and harms.
