We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming event, “New Vantage Points in ADHD, Obesity, and Cardiometabolic Health: Where Research Meets Patients,” on April 11, 2025, at The Abbey Centre in London, UK.
This isn’t just another conference – it’s a chance for patients, caregivers, researchers, and advocates to come together, share experiences, and help shape the future of healthcare for those living with ADHD and cardiometabolic conditions.
Why you should attend
Ever feel like research happens in a bubble, far away from the real experiences of patients? This event is about changing that. We’re bringing experts and individuals with lived experience into the same room to exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another. Expect insightful talks, open discussions, and the opportunity to have your voice heard.
A sneak peek behind the scenes
Pulling off an event like this is no small feat! Here’s a look at what goes into making it happen:
✔ Collaborative planning: Our teams at ADDISS, ADHD Europe, KCL, UCL, ORU, EASO and concentris have been working hard to create a program that truly reflects the needs of both patients and researchers.
✔ Balancing science & real life: Too often, research events can feel overly technical. We’re making sure this one stays engaging, inclusive, and relevant to everyday life. We know that healthcare isn’t one-size-fits-all, so we’re reaching out to a wide range of participants to make sure different perspectives are represented.
✔ Finding the right space: We wanted a venue that’s welcoming, accessible, and comfortable—so we landed on The Abbey Centre. More than just a conference venue, The Abbey Centre is a community hub in South Westminster. Run by the Abbey Community Association, this charity supports local residents through activities like exercise and dance classes, employment training, arts programs, and social events. The centre operates as a social enterprise, meaning income from room hire and its Wash House Café helps fund vital community services that improve health and wellbeing. We love that our event is being hosted in a space dedicated to empowering people and fostering meaningful connections.
